Depth inside already was a concern for the Hornets. Now it has gotten worse. Starting forward David West missed the home game against the Pacers on Monday and is likely to miss the home game against the Nets on Wednesday because of back spasms. Starting center Tyson Chandler suffered a sprained right ankle in the second quarter against the Pacers and did not return. He might also miss the game against the Nets. Reserve center Hilton Armstrong, the only backup big man who has contributed fairly consistently, left the game with a sore left knee and is day-to-day. That left players such as Sean Marks and Melvin Ely having to play more minutes even though they have been undependable. Read more...
